Verdict

ARCTIC SHADOW is fancied to resume winning ways by getting the better of Native City and Flashy Sir amongst others. The selection has proved a revelation since leaving Robin Dickin's yard, winning three of his last four starts, and he may be able to strike another notch on his tally stick. He's 16lbs higher than for the first of those successes but ran perfectly well from this mark on ground that was probably soft enough. Native City represents a yard with a good record in this race but he proved a reluctant hero when winning at Worcester when his success owed everything to the perseverance of his jockey. The same man is in the saddle so he can't be discounted but the performance wasn't one to excite. Flashy Sir and Imtihan are both running well at present whilst Charles Street and Great Grimsby are unexposed in this sphere but they may all be put in the shade by Arctic Shadow.
