      Verdict

The top weight Tetcott has been given a chance by the handicapper and he gets the nod over Tommytyler and Witchcraft, who are expected to pose the biggest threats to the selection. Mexican is also capable of getting involved at this level and he is one to monitor in the betting. The last mentioned has been a frustrating character to follow and is not one to trust implicitly. However, he does have bits and pieces of form that suggest he can make the frame again and he is one for each-way players to consider. Tommytyler is unexposed at the trip and, with his task made easier by the 7lb claim of Danielle Mcreedy, his connections will be disappointed if he cannot figure strongly at this level. Still, with eight of the fourteen runners set to race from just out of the weights, it is safe to assume that this will not take too much winning and it is unlikely to provide the strongest market of the day. Therefore, giving weight away to this bunch should not be a problem for Tetcott, who is fancied to be very hard to beat if he recaptures anything like the form he showed at Warwick last September.
