In depth

Verdict

The combination of the return to this course and the drop in trip are considered significant enough to give Come What July the benefit of the doubt as she takes on potentially better handicapped rivals such as Don't Call Me Derek and Book Matched, who are just a couple worth giving a mention to in a competitive handicap for the grade. Another to throw into the mix for consideration is top weight Dispol Veleta, who comfortably accounted for the likes of Mission Affirmed the last time she raced here. However, she does face a stiff test on these terms and others make slightly more appeal for win only purposes. It now seems almost redundant to point out that money for Don't Call Me Derek will be a significant pointer towards confidence from the Stuart Williams camp after the activities of last week's huge coup with Exponential. The on course bookmakers will be wary of making the same mistake and the bubble may have burst regarding tempting prices about the yard's runners for the time being. Therefore, we switch to Come What July, who is back on the same mark as when she won over course and distance in July, and he is fancied to bounce back at a track that obviously brings the best out of him.
