        Verdict

        John Gosden's excellent strike rate at this track suggests GRANDEST will have no problem handling the surface. He made a modest debut at Newmarket in July and can take this on his return to action. Jalingo disappointed when attempting to make all at Lingfield last time but Gee Sharp finished a lot closer at Wolverhampton recently and should figure. Real Jazz has shown little so far, but the newcomer Disco Dale is a half-brother to the high-class Red Cadeaux amongst others and is preferred to stablemate O'Raghallaigh.
