      Verdict

Amwell Brave, Maria Bonita and Jarvo have all shown a similar level of form and have to be respected but it might be worth taking a chance on the newcomer Fling, who would not need to be out of the ordinary to win this first time out. James Fanshawe is more than capable of producing a debutant to win at the first time of asking and the daughter of Pursuit Of Love makes plenty of appeal on breeding. The John Jenkins-trained Amwell Brave has a fitness advantage over many of his rivals and the assistance of Kieren Fallon but is a long-standing maiden and a bigger threat may come from Maria Bonita, who showed plenty of promise on her second start as a juvenile and has to be respected, if fit enough for her return. Similar comments apply to Nick Littmoden's Jarvo, who steps up in trip today, while Keltic Rainbow has shown promise in similar contests on the all-weather. However, Fling makes plenty of appeal on her debut and gets the nod.
