        Verdict

        John Jenkins' bids to send out the winner of this for third time in succession and course regular MONSIEUR JAMIE came good again over track and trip a week ago. He carries 6lb extra but won off a higher mark last year and can confirm superiority with runner-up Imjin River and Coiste Bodhar. George Bailey ended last year with a second over course and distance but has his first start since while Perfect Peak made the frame over 6f here a fortnight ago when ahead of Lucky Mark. Very First Blade faced a tough task on unfavourable terms in a seller at the track last week and won off today's mark here in January.
