OKE BAY was slightly unlucky not to finish closer when hampered last time and she can gain compensation over this shorter trip, with Altos Reales, Jazrawy and Holyfield Warrior among the dangers. The selection has now proved herself on the Fibresand with that defeat of a little over a length by Astroleo in a 1m 6f handicap here last time. She has been given a five month break, but although she has not won when fresh yet, she is now more experienced and it is likely that the in-form Ralph Beckett will have her fit and ready to run a big race. Altos Reales won over this trip at Wolverhampton and is 3lbs higher today. She acts on the surface and has every chance of going close once more. Jazrawy is 10lbs below his best winning mark, which came over course and distance in February 2007. After a lengthy absence he ran well here in a seller last time and he is not ruled out given his current mark, though he could, of course, bounce. Holyfield Warrior is in cracking form but must rate a doubtful stayer, while there are no concerns on that score for Jiggalong, though a 6lb penalty and the need to prove herself on this surface are the points that she has to prove.
