Verdict

This should be a walk in the park for Graphic Approach, who is chosen to lead home Columbus and Ornella Speed. Charlie Egerton's gelding never really showed his true ability over hurdles, but made a very pleasing start to his fencing career. He jumped really well and could be named the winner from a long way out. He is potentially a smart chaser in the making. The opposition here appear to be quite modest, the best may be Columbus. The eight-year-old was successful over a slightly longer trip here in the spring, he was well beaten on his last outing in November, but if back on song today he could give the selection something to think about. Ornella Speed was a modest hurdler and is making her chase debut, she should do better than the only other runner Bayoss. So an easy opportunity for Graphic Approach who can land this before taking on better company.
