In depth

Verdict

Winning pointer MULLIGAN'S MAN scored at the first time of asking under Rules when landing a bumper at Market Rasen. He should have no problem winning an ordinary maiden over hurdles and Donald McCain's charge gets the vote. Violets Boy went close in a 1m5f bumper at Hereford last time and should figure if taking to jumping while dual bumper winner Blase Chevalier will appreciate the shorter trip having returned a disappointing favourite over 2m5f at this track last month. The remainder have something to find to match the principals.
