        Verdict

        Nod's Star gets the vote over Asleep At The Back, Sea Cove and Mayyas. Nod's Star opened her account in a very similar contest at Kempton a fortnight ago, and although bought primarily to go jumping, has been found another suitable opportunity to add to her tally here. The drop back in trip from two miles should not be a problem as the switch to the Fibresand should bring her stamina into play. Asleep At The Back has showed improved form since being upped in trip, but the fact is that he is slightly worse off with the selection for a three-and-a-quarter length beating last time, and so is passed over. Sea Cove has yet to show his potential and has been off the track since last July, while Mayyas is a maiden trying this trip on the level for the first time. Nod's Star has leading claims and is taken to outstay her rivals.
