In depth

Verdict

There is little to choose between the three runners who have 4lb penalties to carry in Florio Vincitore, Ingleby Spirit and MINGUN BELL but the last mentioned is an American dirt-bred colt who should improve for racing on the Fibresand and Henry Cecil's runner gets the vote with the most interesting of the remainder looking to be New World Symphony. Howard Johnson's colt, like the selection, has an American dirt bred pedigree and he should improve for his racecourse debut at Thirsk but needs to if he is to trouble the selection who has shown a decent level of form. Mark Johnston's Exemplary is a potentially interesting newcomer being a son of Sulamani but the yard's two-year-olds tend to need their first start so he may be best watched. Ananda Kanda has struggled in two starts in nurseries since winning his maiden and looks best watched with a bigger threat looking to be Richard Fahey's Ingleby Spirit, who has been running well and lost no caste in defeat behind Black Snowflake in a decent nursery at Goodwood last time. Mingun Bell has rock solid claims on form though and should improve for racing on this surface so he looks the one to be on.
