In depth

Verdict

JACOBS SON bids for a hat-trick off a 7lb higher mark. He beat the in-form Dewala over 1m4f here last time with a previous winner seven lengths further back in third so Robert Mills' charge gets the vote. Northside Prince looks high enough in the weights after chasing home stablemate Honest Deal here last month but is dropped in class today and should figure again. Light The City finished tailed off on his reappearance and may need more time to show his best while Lexington Bay's only victory since 2011 came in an amateurs' event. The latter is still preferred to Phoenix Flight, who needs further, and the multiple Polytrack winner Snowed In.
