      Verdict

This could be a good opportunity for Mark Johnston's newcomer Annemasse to make a winning debut, with Grand Symphony and Popolo the best of those with runs already under their belts. The betting will provide a major clue to the chances of the selection however this looks a fairly weak maiden so he wouldn't have to be a world-beater to land the contest. This six furlong trip looks the right place to start at on breeding and he should go well. Kelamon should be all the wiser today after his debut and with the step up in trip expected to suit, he has place claims. As does Grand Symphony who was beaten less than length last time out. However she may be of more interest when seen in a handicap, whilst Popolo has dropped back into maiden company after some consistent efforts in handicaps. This easier race should give her a great opportunity to finally get her head in front however she had no excuses last time out behind Imprimis Tagula so cannot be truly fancied today. Tim Pitt's Bijouterie could be of interest if she has strengthened up over the winter. The Ted Easterby trio Moonlight Applause, Mr Whoppit, and Feels Like Heaven should be monitored closely in the betting, however for the winner we will return to Mark Johnston's Annemasse.
