        Verdict

        Desperate Dan has no easy task at this level but he is a useful sort and can account for Undeterred and Law Maker. Desperate Dan is officially rated 85. He travelled like a winner on his most recent visit to Southwell before succumbing close home. This does not look to be as strong a contest so we will chance him on Sunday afternoon. Undeterred is a six furlong specialist. He had looked hard to win with but regained the winning habit last season. The horse has run well fresh in the past so a victory would be no surprise under the circumstances. Law Maker won a weaker race at the track last week. Ordinarily a front-runner, he was tried under different tactics by his young rider and a victory was due reward for such ingenuity. Trinculo is beginning to look in the grip of the handicapper at present. Willhewiz is well in with regard to his last meeting with Desperate Dan but does not win often. Similarly Pawan is on a long losing run. Desperate Dan is nominated in what is a very tricky affair.
