        Verdict

        In a difficult betting heat we'll place a tentative selection in TRANS SONIC but feel old timer Dancing Lyra is due a big race while top weight Opera Writer is not out of the picture. Like many of these Trans Sonic is racing above his last winning mark but showed on his lastest appearance that his current rating is not beyond him with a decent run. The form from that contest has worked out ok and this similar event is well within reach. Dancing Lyra hasn't scored for over two years now but as a result is now off a much lower mark that that victory, which came on his only run at this track. He had a bit of a pipe-opener last time after 285 days off and with that run he should be close. Opera Writer has the handicap of top weight to overcome but has run well off similar marks and is a course winner. Sand Repeal shouldn't be discounted either and although it's asking a lot to win after a 135 day break he has the form to run a big race at a bigger price. My Mirasol has weight in hand on her rivals and has a claim too but we just give the edge to Trans Sonic.
