Verdict

FLYING SHADOW is penalised for a battling victory on his debut at Stratford in June when well supported. He will make further progress and can take care of Al Shahir, who went to Carlisle for his first run last month and though finishing runner-up was beaten a long way by the experienced Dubai Angel. Persian Steel attracted support on his debut at Catterick in February and, though disappointing, better is expected. Royal Village fell when in touch on his debut between the flags at Ballysteen in April and the well-connected son of Scorpion has joined Philip Hobbs while Psychocandy has a smart pedigree for jumping.
