CLOONAVERY is a nominal selection in a tricky contest where My Pal Val and Bid Art are others to bear in mind. Tony Carroll has enjoyed a decent time of things and the stable may be able to get a win out of Cloonavery who has failed to get his head in front over obstacles thus far. He's only had three chances over fences with his best performance coming over course and distance twelve months ago on the only occasion that he's been partnered by Anthony Freeman. My Pal Val responded to cheekpieces to gain a second success under Rules with a hardfought success at Worcester for which an 8lb rise is not unduly harsh given that the first two home pulled a long way clear of the field. Bid Art failed to complete last time but this habitual front runner may enjoy being given his head at this track and may be able to get them strung out behind. Barton Sun was a long way behind him last time but is worth a market check as is Indiana Gold but the most tentative of tips is Cloonavery.
