In depth

Verdict

Martin Pipe landed the Imperial Cup at Sandown over the week-end and his entrant here Say What You See looks well capable of landing this decent prize, Dad's Elect and Dom d'Orgeval are two of many dangers. The selection has been in decent form all season and although no match for The Market Man at Doncaster last time, he should go close off his current handicap mark. Dad's Elect is trained by Ian Williams, who is named in the title of today's race. On the face of it his form this season is nothing special but he is steadily coming down the weights and if he can repeat his run at Wetherby in October behind Nawamees, he should be in there at the finish. Dom d'Orgeval meanwhile is climbing the weights following some excellent performances this season, he still appears to be on a fair mark and should make the places. Yes Sir and Clear Thinking are two others worthy of respect, but Say what You See has to be given every chance off this mark
