In depth

Verdict

GREAT MATES can prove a popular selection to take the finale, with Onechoice and The Donserill others to note. This bumper sees a number of unraced types take the field and the market should be watched carefully. Onechoice travelled well for much of the way at Worcester on debut, but failed to quicken as expected, having to settle for a place. He will come on for that run and looks a threat. The Donserill has also shaped well in both starts to date, but has looked a little one paced at the business end of his races. He can also hit the frame. Great Mates left previous form behind when routing his field over this course and distance recently, and the Paul Nicholls trained runner is clearly on the upgrade. A similar effort can see Great Mates defy a penalty.
