Alan Swinbank's runners in bumpers always warrant respect and it may be worth siding with his representative here, PRICELESS ART, on his debut and the son of Anabaa gets the vote ahead of point-to-point winners Downward Spiral and Mike Towey. Peter Bowen's gelding has had the benefit of three starts in points, winning on the latest of them in Ireland and he has to be considered first time out under rules. Evan Williams does reasonably well with his runners in bumpers so Seren Cwmtudu has to be considered on his debut, while Alan King's Yukon Quest stepped up from his debut effort at Newbury when finding just one too good at Lingfield last month and he should be thereabouts again. Violin Davis, who is trained by Paul Nicholls, is another interesting newcomer and the daughter of Turgeon has to be respected but of more interest may be Jennie Candlish's Downward Spiral, who was a winner of his only start in a point-to-point in Ireland but, given Alan Swinbank's record in bumpers, it is Priceless Art that gets the vote.
