In depth

Verdict

Hot Whiskey has been placed in his last three runs off today's mark and seems sure to be thereabouts again under a 7lb claimer. Barista was placed over 7f on the Flat earlier this month but this is a much different test and both Tenmoku and Falcon's Present are proving disappointing over timber. THE KINGS ASSASSIN rallied impressively to score at Fontwell earlier this month. That was a big step up on previous efforts but he wasn't unfancied and has the scope to follow up in this slightly better grade.
