In depth

Verdict

Apache Song, placed six times on the Flat, had no chance against Soldier In Action on her hurdling debut at Doncaster but kept on well for second. Sahalin has won twice on the all-weather but hasn’t raced in more than a year. Timely Gift is making his racecourse debut so TALENT TO AMUSE may be the one to be on. She won a 1m4f maiden for Roger Varian at Lingfield last year and was later placed over further so can make a winning start for Emma Lavelle.
