In depth

Verdict

A rather low-key finale but a good opportunity for SPEEDY DIRECTA to make the most of his recent good form. Twice a winner at Towcester recently, Milton Harris' charge has a penalty to carry for his latest success but the opposition look a modest bunch. Best of them may be Newton Abbot fourth Commit To Memory as Ruby Valentine reappears after a short break and Walls Way was put up 4lb for finishing second to subsequent Wincanton third Always Cruising at the same track earlier this month. Aughcarra was second at Hereford last month but is best watched after a modest effort at Uttoxeter next time.
