Verdict

Ghimaar has plenty of untapped potential but 2m on this sharp track won't play to his strengths and he is probably worth opposing after a long lay-off. Stablemate First In The Queue is also unexposed but has had his problems since winning at Huntingdon in March and got no further than the second flight at Punchestown last time. There's almost certainly more to come from Bangor third American Art and Looks Like Slim won at Plumpton and Wincanton before finishing second at Aintree but we'll stick with ROYAL MAX, who is an uncomplicated ride and won with a ton in hand at Wetherby nine days ago. He's 13lb higher now but Paul Bohan's claim negates 10lb of that and Ian Williams' five-year-old is fancied to make all again.
