Verdict

Plenty of runners but few with realistic chances. Silver Quay had dropped to a very winnable mark when running away with a course and distance handicap and though 10lb higher looks certain to get into contention again. Chris Gordon has done well with SKY FULL OF STARS since acquiring him last summer. All of his five starts for the yard have been at Fontwell, scoring over hurdles last month before completing a double over fences last weekend. He's still looking on a reasonable mark and a hat-trick beckons. Blue April made a very encouraging reappearance at Fontwell in December and started favourite at Uttoxeter on New Year's Eve but didn't run up to expectations. Boutan made a promising comeback at Warwick and only got as far as the second at Uttoxeter last time but the four-times Flat winner should be winning over hurdles soon.
