In depth

Verdict

Murrayana may well have won on his handicap debut over fences at Chepstow had he not fallen at the second-last. He still has time on his side and more scope than Ffos Las third Wychwoods Brook and veteran Paddy The Oscar, who steps up a grade after scoring at Warwick. Morney Wing was placed over 3m in Ireland but most of his form is over shorter, including a recent win at Haydock. Union Jack D'ycy will handle the ground better than most and was second over track and trip two weeks ago off this mark. He's preferred to the out-of-sorts Easter Day and St Dominick but will find TOP WOOD (NAP) a tough nut to crack. David Pipe's charge has only won once over fences so far but has his ground and his latest second at Chepstow, where he looked the likely winner approaching the last, came against better opposition than this.
