In depth

Verdict

Bernard races for the first time since springing a surprise at Hereford in November, while L'Apprenti Sorcier can't be relied upon to reproduce the form of his second over C&D last month off a 3lb higher mark. Queenstown Lad was beaten a distance at Hereford last time but veteran Jacarado will probably run his race again, though is undoubtedly better over fences. Captain Becket would have claims on his best form but this can go to GLEANNACREIM, who has taken a while to acclimatise to new surroundings but finished second over 2m6f at Ffos Las last week and is probably still on a decent mark.
