In depth

Verdict

Oberon Moon can eclipse his rivals, of whom West End Rocker and Quickbeam are feared most. The selection shone brightly in bumpers, beating Razor Royale at Cheltenham, but has taken time to get his act together over hurdles. There's nothing wrong with the form of his latest defeat here where he ran as if sorely in need of the extra half mile that he gets today. West End Rocker looks to be a relentless galloper and would be a big threat if able to recapture the form he showed when second at Uttoxeter. Quickbeam is also bred to come into his own over a trip and has shown enough over shorter to merit serious consideration today. Commander Vic, Stop The Show and Boomerang have all shown some form but Oberon Moon arguably has more potential than that trio and is preferred.
