In depth

Verdict

Wild Chimes has been consistent enough and can make the most of the weight that he receives from Robber Baron, with Toomebridge best of the rest. Wild Chimes has been plying his trade over hurdles until now, and on the evidence of his latest start at Wincanton, Paul Nicholls' charge will appreciate this shorter trip as he embarks on a career over fences. Although yet to open his account, he is expected to make a much better chaser, and in receipt of eight-pounds from Robber Baron, can put one over on the latter. Henrietta Knight's charge acquitted himself well behind hotpot Graphic Approach at Hereford and as he is still on the comeback trail, there should be better to come. He might need further in time though and is worth opposing today at his likely odds. Toomebridge although stayed on at the one pace behind the useful It's Just Harry over hurdles here last time and is another that has been biding his time before going chasing. He has the right man for the job in Timmy Murphy, but in what should be a fairly close race between the aforementioned trio, it is Wild Chimes who carries our hopes.
