In depth

Verdict

Surprisingly beaten on her hurdling debut, SWINCOMBE FLAME made no mistake at Exeter earlier this month and looked to have plenty more in the locker. Nick Williams' exciting mare should be capable of defying a penalty here over a longer trip. Elegant Touch was impressive at Lingfield last month and is also heading in the right direction. She won't be far away again while it will be interesting to see if there is any money for Philip Hobbs' Native Breeze in her first hurdle as she showed promise in bumpers last year. Towcester sixth Genstone Trail may be open to improvement but The Tatkin made mistakes at Exeter last week while stablemate On Khee has been well beaten in her two runs over timber so far.
