In depth

Verdict

Some of these would probably struggle to win a seller nowadays though Chilbury Hill was runner-up over 2m4f at Hereford last time and is only a pound higher than when successful over fences just under a year ago. The Composer has always looked capable of winning a minor contest off this kind of mark but is still a maiden after 17 attempts. Victor Dartnall's team has been in good form so it would be no surprise to see top weight Mr Bachster step up on what he's achieved so far but this represents a significant drop in grade for E STREET BOY. He fared a little better when allowed to bowl along in front at Wincanton earlier in the month and could be difficult to pass at this level if similar tactics are employed today
