RAMSES DE MARCIGNY will be short odds to see off Shakalakaboomboom and Spring Moon. Paul Nicholls won this race last year with the smart Pepe Simo. A half brother to Najca De Thaix, he should be capable of acting with plenty of give underfoot. Shakalakaboomboom is from the family of the smart two mile chaser, Travado. The market will indicate just how far forward he is at present. Spring Moon is related to a number of staying types. His trainer is not noted for bumper winners though the pedigree suggests that he might the medium of a gamble under these conditions. Prince Of Denial is particularly well bred and went through the ring at Cheltenham for a sizeable amount. At the likely odds, he is speculative each-way fare. Cryptic Bert is from the family of Golan and North Light among others though his form has struggled to get anywhere near those luminaries of the turf. Not the most attractive of races from a punting perspective and Ramses De Marcigny has to be the call.
