In depth

Verdict

DANCING DAFFODIL continues on an upward curve and had a bit more in the locker when following up her wide-margin victory at Ludlow over a shorter trip at Towcester. She's gone up 12lb since but neither the trip nor the ground will be a problem and Robin Dickin's in-form mare is much preferred to Monty's Revenge, who only had a couple of rivals to beat over fences at Towcester on Boxing Day. Hobb's Dream has plenty of stamina and should be pressing for a place again but Whitcombe Spirit was readily brushed aside at Fontwell earlier this month. Bobbie Magern blotted his copybook at Towcester but C&D winner Acosta should strip fitter for a run at the same course and isn't without a chance.
