Hula Ballew, She's Our Lass and Pearl's Girl catch the eye here in this wide open affair and Hula Ballew is the selection. Willie Haggas's Pearl's Girl confirmed earlier promise when scoring at Ascot last time and is clearly progressive and consistent. She is yet to prove herself on easy ground so is taken on. She's Our Lass won at Haydock and newmarket recently but this is a step up in class and she may not be able to handle it. Although her recent winning form has been on a faster surface she can handle cut in the ground. After winning three races this summer, Hula Ballew has gone up the handicap but nhe is still in good heart. he was only beaten a length in a decent race last time at Ayr and has won twice here this year. We believe Hula Ballew has not been completely caught by the handicapper yet and nicely drawn here, Hula Ballew is the selection.
