        Verdict

        Ann Duffield is a decent trainer of mares so it could be significant she takes her chance with LADY NECTAR off today’s welter burden. Eruption won off a plater’s mark at Musselburgh but the small rise up the handicap does not appear unduly onerous. Lullaby Bay won well at Beverley earlier this week and connections attempt to strike before the handicapper does. Pam Sly isn’t a particularly regular visitor to Thirsk so any market confidence behind Anniversary Belle should not be dismissed lightly. Zwift was weak in the market on reappearance and a visor that accompanied a previous success is reapplied this evening.
