      Verdict

The draw should not play too much of a part in a field of this size and the winner should emerge on its merits as the best horse on the day. And that distinction could go to Neon Blue, who is just preferred to Bond Romeo, who held a high reputation before getting upset in the build up to his debut in the Brocklesby. Cut And Dried along with Willjojo can scrap it out for the minor honours, but Neon Blue looks to be the most progressive at this stage and the Atraf colt can strike for the Richard Whittaker team, who have a good record at this time of year around the northern courses.
