In depth

Verdict

Unbeaten in two runs as a juvenile, BRETON ROCK also made steady progress last season and won over this trip at Doncaster and Ascot. He probably has scope for further improvement and can make a winning reappearance though Baccarat is respected as last year's Great St Wilfrid winner is just as effective over this extra furlong. Captain Ramius was only beaten a length in last month's Cammidge Trophy and also stays 7f while Bertiewhittle has been going well on the Polytrack and holds Kenny Powers on the form book, though hasn't won since 2011. Pintura only beat one home in this last year but Tariq Too has every chance at the weights and should be thereabouts if fully wound-up.
