AUSSIE REIGNS wasn't a prolific winner on the Flat in the UK though did score in Listed company and generally performed at Group level in staying events. He made an encouraging start over hurdles behind the well regarded Avenir D'Une Vie at Fairyhouse and though he'll probably be better over further in time he is expected to go one better. Valgor Du Ronceray won a bumper on heavy ground here in January but jumped poorly on his hurdling debut at Galway in October. He'd obviously learnt plenty on his next start at Naas where he was always in the front rank before succumbing to the pace of Saturnas. Montana Belle had some very smart form in bumpers and was returning from a long absence when making a creditable debut over timber at Galway so Henry De Bromhead should find a race for her soon. Autumn Showers was beaten a distance on his hurdling bow in February but has since performed with credit in bumpers while winning point-to-pointer For Carmel is one to note for the future.
