In depth

Verdict

This may not be the strongest of bumpers so Willie Mullins' Simply Gooch will attract support on his debut as he's a half-brother to Woodbine Willie. Harvey Logan made a bright start on heavy ground at Limerick in March and was in touch when slipping up in a much better race at Punchestown the following month so he has to be on the shortlist. Fetter Lane appears to have gone backwards after a very good run here in April so this can go to DESERTMORE STREAM. Philip Fenton does well with his bumpers, particularly those from the point-to-point field, and this son of Celtic Swing was bought by Gigginstown for £105,000 after winning by 17l at Lingstown last November.
