Verdict

No Catch was still there with a chance when falling on his point-to-point debut in April and made amends by scoring at Oldcastle a week later. He should do better when going jumping as should Maddoxtown, a half-brother to three winners between the flags and a good fourth on his bumper debut at Killarney last month when Kim Tian Road was a long way behind. Mantles Of Green should improve from a fair debut behind Tornado Bob at Cork but all known form and a superb pedigree points to HIRED HAND. Charles O'Brien's son of High Chaparral is a half-brother to two Group 1 winners on the flat and went to Punchestown fancied to make a winning bumper debut. He could only manage third place behind Spanish Treasure but it was a very worthwhile effort and improvement should be guaranteed.
