Verdict

KING'S WHARF showed improved form to complete a double in handicaps over fences at Wexford and Killarney so it was a surprise when he reverted to hurdles for his next two runs. He faces a stiff task conceding weight all round but looks capable of further progress. Killdunne hadn't shown much before a shock victory at Navan where he was always travelling well so he would be a threat in the same mood. Killiney Court made all for a very convincing victory in a beginners' event at Ballinrobe but this is tougher and though Kilcarry Bridge has finished runner-up five times over fences he's yet to win. Wes Hardin's close second to Odit at Downpatrick in August was a good run but he's since disappointed on heavy going at Listowel.
