In depth

Verdict

Inis Meain is in such tremendous form that it's no surprise to see him attempting a quick hat-trick despite a huge weight. He's won his two recent races in very impressive style and Ronan Whelan's claim will be a big plus. Ionisphere is the only C&D winner in the line-up but he's gone off the boil and though Gothen Niece showed her first sign of form for some time at Cork she's still a maiden after 18 starts. IBSEN is 2lb out of the handicap but is one of the few here with scope and was having only his fifth start when running well behind Shamooda at Roscommon. With further progress likely he can take advantage of the big weight he receives from Inis Meain. Atmospheric High has yet to reach a place on Turf and showed himself better on Polytrack with a very good performance at Dundalk last week.
