    Verdict

COOL MACAVITY has been better suited by easier tracks than this in the past but he's settling better nowadays judged on his latest victory at Plumpton and defying a 3lb higher mark in this company shouldn't be a problem. The four-year-olds Quebec and Argot could be the biggest threat to the top weight as Serenity Now jumped abysmally at Hexham last week when well backed. Franciscan has lost his way while Bigindie has found life tough since scoring at Southwell in June.
