Verdict

WATCHING FOOTBALL is the preferred option with Bethanys Boy and Soviet Sceptre as the alternatives. David Pipe's charge is surprisingly dropped in grade after running creditably in a Southwell maiden but this strategy worked wonders with his father's charges and with all manner of headgear and aids on today, Pipe Jnr is clearly leaving little to chance. Bethanys Boy won a seller at the course in fine style. He has been rather found out at novice level and today's return is welcomed. Soviet Sceptre should be fit from a recent outing at Kempton. Rain would not exactly help his chances. Malakiya looks a thorough rogue and is best avoided. Anglicisme faded dramatically after being tried under positive tactics. Pip's Assertive Way is likeable though distinctly ordinary. Dr Dream won a Southwell seller under Tony McCoy though was some 19 seconds outside standard in spite of the going registering as good to firm. Dansilver has disappointed though is watched closely in the market as the combination of Wintle and Marston are old hands in low grade races. Watching Football can make a drop in grade count to his advantage.
