Verdict

The veteran Earcomesthedream could only finish third in this a year ago but followed up with a victory at Chepstow and showed he is no back number with a very good effort behind Gilzean, who has won again, at Lingfield last month. The last time NEWTON THISTLE ran over hurdles on this track he won very easily and has since scored twice over fences here. He's better handicapped over timber and with his rider claiming 10lb he's taken to continue his good form on the track. Flemi Two Toes is a specialist on very heavy going so the forecast rain can't come quick enough while the consistent Tara Tavey is still looking a few pounds high in the weights.
