Verdict

This may come around a little quickly for Pardishar and although he is very much respected in this company, he is passed over in favour of the progressive Tighten Your Belt, who got off the mark over hurdles in fine style here last month. Twenty Degrees and Dream Falcon make the most appeal out of the remainder and have series each way claims on what they have shown to date. However, Tighten Your Belt looked to be one to follow when he bolted up over course and distance and may be a touch too classy for his rivals today. The son of Phardante made an immediate impact when scoring at Stratford on his first start under rules last season - form which was boosted when he finished third in the Champion bumper at Aintree last April. Tighten Your Belt confirmed that he has the ability to clear a hurdle well in his latest start and, even though he is unlikely to break the bank with his starting price, he should not be missed again today.
