Verdict

Another wide open event with CALUSA CRYSTAL expected to get the better of Bathwick Quest and Charmaine Wood. Many of these are lightly raced, and there are a couple of newcomers to take into account too. There's also little recent form to consider for most of them, and none for a number over hurdles. Calusa Crystal makes her hurdling debut, having previously only run in bumpers, including a much better one than this at Aintree, albeit in which she finished well down the field. If she takes to hurdling, then she could be leading them all home. Bathwick Quest is also a first time hurdler, and may appreciate a little cut in the ground. Charmaine Wood also tries them for the first time. Alan King's yard is in fine form, and she'll no doubt have her backers. Market support could be significant here, but we'll side with Calusa Crystal.
