AL BOUM PHOTO has more letters than numbers in his form figures in his last five starts but showed his quality when beating Shattered Love and Invitation Only in the Grade 1 Ryanair Chase at Fairyhouse. He was also narrowly beaten by Monalee in a Leopardstown Grade 1 earlier and can make a successful reappearance. Alpha Des Obeaux was attempting to give Kemboy 6lb when beaten 3l in a Clonmel Grade 2 then fought off Valseur Lido at Thurles while Sub Lieutenant looked right back to his best when comfortably beating Outlander at Punchestown before a very disappointing run in the JNwine at Down Royal. The selection's stable companion Total Recall easily beat Alpha Des Obeaux at Limerick in October last year before completing a hat-trick. His later runs were in two Grade 1's and the Grand National so he's no forlorn hope while Last Goodbye can win some nice races this season.
