      Verdict

      Dark Note had a battle to score over timber at Sligo on Sunday. EXPOUND is still a maiden but went close over an extended mile at Ballinrobe and has always looked as though this sort of trip would suit. Blackpoint ran a cracking race at Tipperary last week, just failing to concede 11lb to No Hassle and it will be a surprise if he isn't in contention. This is short of The Truant's best trip and he's still 9lb higher than his only victory but Je T'ai Porte has been in good form over hurdles.
