Verdict

BECKWITH STAR, successful over course and distance last year, has come right back to his best lately and beat a big field at Galway last month. He has an 8lb higher mark to defy today but Brian Hayes' claim almost halves the extra and he should take all the beating again. Roman Numeral, Magnetic Force and Line View are also previous winners on this track but the former was behind the selection at Galway having won twice in the spring. The latter was second on his latest start at Limerick but that was back in May while Noble Call tends to reserve his best for Ballinrobe nowadays.
